This is  a recent project for a friend. I've used a mix of quilting techniques and a few different fabrics.

The top picture is the first stage of the project where I join strips of fabric together.

The second image is where I've cut and resewn the strips together several time and have cut some portholes in.

I like the portholes as they break up the improv style and add some negative space.

The bottom image is the back of the quilt which is made up from fabric scraps.
